Mindomo: web-based mind mapping

I’ve been using Mindmaps for pretty much anything that requires recording (meeting minutes, project information, etc). My favorite program is MindJet‘s MindManager. The only real feature I would see lacking is the lack of revision control and colloborative functions to make it easier to share maps with co-workers. Naturally the news of Mindomo’s beta was exciting news since it would make sharing of maps much easier. Think if this could be integrated into Google Apps would make it even more compelling!

Fujitsu P1610 now with 3G HSDPA!

Have been considering getting a new tablet to replace my 3 year old IBM ThinkPad X31 and have been hearing good reviews about the Fujitsu P1610. With my recent subscription to M1’s Broadband plan, this sure seems like a good deal?

Perceptive Pixel – Minority Report style interface

I develop Tablet PC applications in my course of work but after watching this video, you’ll be wondering what the future of interface design and interaction holds for us? Would be really interesting to see what the upcoming iPhone (which has similar concepts on a smaller scale) can do for Tablet computing.

Windows Home Server

I run Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005 for our home entertainment system. A P3 on Windows XP equipped with Raid-5 500GB storage takes care of the backup requirements for all the important files in the house.

Thus when Windows Home Server was announced, I was definitely interested to join in the beta since it would allow me to run a single box to backup data and have remote access capabilities. Am a bit late (apparently there’s a queue of 25,000!) but have just signed up and awaiting an invite to test Beta 2 of WHS.
